Site-specific sculpture for Partial Views at Hercules Art Space in New York City. Vantage emerged as a physical-conceptual expression of perspective from a research-road-trip in former Yugoslavia studying propaganda monuments with artist Elizabeth Tubergen. I created a work that would allow gallery goers to climb the sculpture itself and gain new perspective on the other works in the show in addition to an intimate look at the the gallery’s architecture. The extant column is the nexus of both front and back galleries, bathroom foyer, and kitchen.
